Los Angeles-based JRK Property Holdings has purchased the Jefferson at Westtown, a 252-unit apartment complex in West Chester, a company official said.

The investment and management group closed Sept. 30 on the 18-year-old property, which it plans to renovate extensively, James Bloomingdale, JRK’s head of acquisitions, said Tuesday.

Bloomingdale declined to identify the seller or disclose its purchase price. JRK also owns the Venice Lofts apartments in Philadelphia’s Manayunk section.
